Comments

There has been a problem with comments on this blog for quite some time. Some people are able to leave a comment, and others can not. When comments do come through I can't reply to those comments. Not even on my own blog. Sometimes switching browsers helps, and sometimes not. This appears to be an ongoing issue with Blogger. I wish I knew what to do to fix it because I enjoy reading your comments. I'm sorry if yours don't get through. It's not me...it's blogger. :)

The Doxiehood of the Traveling Hat

Hi friends! Sheldon here! Recently Mom got us involved in a fun project with our doxie friends. It all started with our buddy, Bruno, and his Mommy. Bruno has this cool looking hat, so I told him I'd like to borrow it. He and his Mommy sent it to me and Penny from where they live in California. Once we got to wear the hat and showed off our photos on Instagram it was time to send it to the next friend in The Doxiehood. So we sent it back to CA for a different friend who lives there. After that it will be sent to Colorado, Puerto Rico, and Brazil.

We had fun with our traveling hat photoshoot. You might recognize the hat from our beach photo in the previous post. We thought it would be fun to take it to Panama City.
















Ma must have really enjoyed this project, too. She even broke out her fancy camera for the photos. I think she called it a Nikon D70 with a 50mm lens? Whatever that means. I don't really care about that stuff. I just know I look pretty cool in that hat! And I think Penny liked wearing it, too.

The Doxies Go To Panama City Beach

Shout out to Aunty Clarissa and Cuz Bruno for sharing the hat Shel's wearing!

We took a quick trip to Panama City Beach this past week. The doxies went with us, of course! Above is a shot of them on the Dog Beach. We stayed all of about 2 minutes because it was the heat of the day and we had to walk quite a ways. I was worried they'd get overheated. So we took photos and promptly got them back into the air conditioned vehicle with cold, bottled water to drink. We did try to take them during the cooler, evening hours, but the parking situation at this beach is laughable. So we had to try a different time. Oh well. We'll be going to Pass A Grille beach in October, so we'll hopefully get better shots there. Although, I hear the dog friendly part of their beaches is very small. 

I took some videos of them all along the trip. From the time they first got into the vehicle, to the ride on the way home. The last shot in this video is of Sheldon showing how happy he was to be home.

Whipped Cream

Sheldon is a picky eater. He always has been. Penny, not so much. She'll eat any and everything. Even what she shouldn't. So, this morning Sheldon was being picky again. I didn't warm up their soft food before serving it to them, so he just looked at it and then at me and walked away. I put it up so Penny couldn't devour it in his absence. An hour later I set it back down only to see him refuse still. I didn't want it to get dried out and go bad, so I enticed him with a little whipped cream on top. See for yourself whether that little trick worked on him....

Notice he's actually standing up? He never does that for food! Ever!

And out come the crazy eyes!!

Sheldon: Stop messing around, Ma! Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!!!!

It disappeared pretty quickly after that. 

Artrage Finger Painting

As a child I loved to finger paint. If you follow my other blog you know I still love all sorts of painting. That still includes finger painting and simple doodles. These days I can finger paint on my iPad in less than 2 minutes with zero mess or clean up!




It's fairly obvious that I drew it quickly, but since it's a doxie and this IS The Doxie Blog, I'm sharing. :)
